Manuel Almeida

June 11, 1953 — January 3, 2026

West Covina

Manny was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He was deeply proud to be a United States Army Vietnam veteran, and that pride in service shaped the way he lived his life. For more than 40 years, Manny dedicated his career to helping others—especially his fellow veterans—find meaningful employment. It was more than work to him; it was a calling, and it brought him great purpose and fulfillment.
A hardworking man through and through, Manny took pride in everything he did. He was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted servant to his community, always giving of himself without hesitation. He carried a joyful spirit that could be felt by everyone around him, and one of the ways he shared that joy most was through music. From a young age, Manny found comfort and happiness in song. At just 14 years old, he discovered his love for music, and by 16, he was performing with his band at gatherings and celebrations, bringing people together through his voice.
In his later years, one of Manny’s most beloved traditions was singing “Happy Birthday.” Though simple, he sang it with heart, personality, and his own unmistakable charm. He did it not for attention, but to make others feel seen, loved, and special on their day. That was who Manny was—someone who found joy in lifting others up.
Manny was also a passionate sports fan, proudly supporting USC, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Los Angeles Lakers, never missing a game and following his teams with loyalty and pride. Yet above all else—beyond his service, his music, and his passions—Manny loved his family with his whole heart. They were his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and the center of his world. ♥️
Manny passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on January 3, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina; his sons, Martin, Emmanuel, and Michael; and his daughter, Veronica. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through
the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the joy he so freely shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
